Local voices. Democratic values. Real community impact.

The Central Baltimore County Democratic Club (CBCDC) is a grassroots organization bringing together Democrats and allies to strengthen democracy, support Democratic candidates, and engage our community in the issues that matter most—locally and statewide.

We believe democracy works best when people are informed, involved, and connected. CBCDC provides a welcoming space for conversation, civic participation, and collective action in Baltimore County.

Our Mission

CBCDC exists to:

  • Increase citizen participation in government and Democratic Party affairs
  • Serve as a respectful forum for discussion of public issues
  • Support Democratic candidates for public office

What We Do

The Club is active year-round, offering opportunities to learn, connect, and make a difference. We:

  • Host regular meetings and issue-focused discussions
  • Share information about elections, candidates, and voting
  • Support Democratic campaigns and ballot initiatives
  • Build relationships among neighbors who care about our community

Our work is grounded in the belief that local engagement drives lasting change.

Membership

  • Regular Members are registered Democratic voters in Maryland.
  • Associate Members include individuals who are not eligible to vote or who are unaffiliated but want to stay engaged.

CBCDC welcomes participation from people who share Democratic values.

Members help guide the Club’s priorities, vote on endorsements and issues, and shape our collective voice. Dues are modest and may be waived to keep participation accessible.

Leadership & Accountability

The Club is governed by an elected Board of Directors, including officers and directors-at-large. Leadership is chosen by the membership and operates with transparency, accountability, and respect for democratic process.

Meetings and decisions follow established bylaws and parliamentary procedures to ensure fairness and open participation.

Endorsements & Issue Advocacy

CBCDC plays an active role in Democratic politics by elevating candidates and issues that reflect our shared values.

  • Candidate endorsements are made through a structured, member-driven process
  • The Club considers and votes on public policy issues brought forward by members
  • All endorsements and issue positions require meaningful member support

Our positions reflect thoughtful discussion and the collective judgment of engaged members.
